About the Family Council

Villa St. Gabriel Family Council represents a collaborative voice for families and resident representatives. It provides a respectful space to share information, identify concerns, ask questions, and work constructively with Villa St. Gabriel Villa to support resident dignity, safety, comfort, and quality of care.

The Council works alongside Villa St. Gabriel Villa, St. Joseph’s Health Centre and its continuing care network, the City of Greater Sudbury, and the Chelmsford community. Through this connection, the Family Council helps bring family perspectives forward, support clear communication, and reassure the community that resident care remains centered on dignity, compassion, and accountability.

As part of the St. Joseph’s Health family, Villa St. Gabriel Villa shares in a mission of caring for the whole person — body, mind, and spirit. The Family Council supports this mission by encouraging partnership, trust, and practical dialogue between families, residents, staff, administration, and the broader community.
