About the Family Council

Villa St. Gabriel Family Council is a place where families and resident representatives can come together, feel heard, and support one another. It gives families a caring voice in conversations about resident care, daily life, communication, safety, activities, meals, and the overall well-being of loved ones living at Villa St. Gabriel Villa.

The Family Council works with Villa St. Gabriel Villa, its parent organization St. Joseph’s Health Centre and continuing care family, the City of Greater Sudbury, and the Chelmsford community to help address concerns and reassure families that residents are receiving compassionate, respectful, and high-quality care.

Villa St. Gabriel Villa is part of a broader St. Joseph’s Health family that believes in caring for the whole person — body, mind, and spirit. Through open communication, shared experiences, and a commitment to dignity and kindness, the Family Council helps strengthen trust, support families, and promote the best possible quality of life for residents.
